Science has always inspired artists, and the Tara Ocean Foundation is following suit by working with them to offer an artistic perspective on its expeditions. Aboard the schooner, these creators use their sensitivity to capture and reinterpret the richness of the oceans and scientific life at sea, to raise public awareness of their beauty and importance.

The aim of the 4-year Tara Oceans expedition was to discover the invisible people of the ocean, the micro-organisms that make up 90% of the ocean's biomass. The scientists on board Tara wanted to understand the preponderant role of these organisms in the equilibrium of our planet.
